New Community Garden Project

If you like gardening, and would like to get involved in a new project, join us at St Stephens Church in Knights Way, Brentwood on a Friday morning 10am to 12pm.

Chat 1st Tea Dance

Inclusive Tea Dance for Brentwood

The Nightingale Centre, Warley, Brentwood

Monthly Tea Dance for Adult SEN and Dementia Friendly.

Monthly - Thursdays 11am to 1pm.
21st April (first session free)

Adults - Inclusive Wellbeing Tai Chi Course at The Brentwood Theatre, 15 Shenfield Road, Brentwood CM15 8AG

12 week peer supported course of classes starting Wednesday 8th June 2022:- Wednesdays @ 11.15am (Arrive from 11am)

12 week courses funded by Active Brentwood, for participants referred through social prescribing and secondary services who are living with poor mental health. These are also available for anyone to self refer if they are feeling socially isolated or struggling with their mental wellbeing.

Partnering with The Daily Bread Pop Up Cafe, the Chat 1st team are transforming the gardens at St Peters Church in Hutton, Brentwood to provide a community space for all to enjoy.

All are welcome to join in to help create a community garden that will not only improve the wellbeing of those that participate, but will most definitely improve the wellbeing of those that can use it when it's finished.

Yoga - 5pm-5.45pm Boxing - 6.30pm-7.15pm Drop in for mental wellbeing support, socialise & chat - 5.45pm-6.30pm and 7.15pm-8pm

The Chat 1st Youth Wellbeing Hub will be the new home to our Youth Yoga and Box fit classes. We also have the facilities for mental wellbeing support if you want to just drop in for a chat.

Starting Wednesday 23rd February at Galleywood Youth Centre, Watchouse Road, Chelmsford CM2 8PT

FREE Wellbeing hub for 12-18 year olds to improve their social, physical and mental wellbeing.

Boxing at 5.15pm / Multi-sports and wellbeing activities at 6.30pm

Stay for the whole evening, or drop in for the activities at the times shown above. We also have the facilities for mental wellbeing support if you want to just pop in for a chat.

Chat 1st is an Award Winning Programme. An exercise intervention and coping mechanism for those struggling with poor mental health.

All sessions are delivered by fully qualified instructors with peer support from those with lived experience. The delivery team are qualified mental health first aiders.

The wellbeing of our members is the most important thing for Chat 1st. Our aim is to offer chat & exercise (at all levels) for support and signposting.
